For businesses

Be part of a safer, kinder neighbourhood

Raise concerns about specific incidents, ask outreach teams for help, and support people with essentials — without treating anyone as a suspect.

What you can do

Report an incident

Describe specific, observable behaviour — for example a blocked entrance or property damage.

Request outreach

Ask a local outreach team to check in with someone who may need support.

Join community programs

Take part in clean-ups, volunteer programs and employment opportunities.

Accept vouchers

Verified vendors can accept DirectAid vouchers for approved categories. Vendors see only the category, value, expiry and the last four characters of a code.

Ground rules

  • Describe what happened, not who you think someone is. Never assume a person is homeless.
  • Reports are not sent to police automatically. If a crime is in progress or someone is in danger, call 911 where available.
  • Reports are reviewed by community partners, who decide how best to respond.
  • You can follow the status of your report from your business dashboard.
