How it works

Simple steps for everyone involved

Hope for All Care works a little differently depending on who you are. Here is what to expect.

If you are looking for support

  1. Step 1: Find help — no account needed

  2. Step 2: Create an account if you want more

Use a nickname if you prefer. An account lets you share that you are safe, request assistance, and track goals.
  3. Step 3: Stay in control

You choose who to connect with and what to share. You can change or withdraw permissions at any time.

If you are a family member or loved one

  1. Step 1: Create a family account

Confirm your email address, then send a connection request or a code you share directly.
  2. Step 2: Wait for their choice

Your request shows “Awaiting response”. For their privacy, we never say whether someone has an account or has seen your request.
  3. Step 3: See only what they share

If they accept, you see only the information they turned on — such as “I’m Safe” updates or messages.

If you want to give

  1. Step 1: Browse approved needs

Each need has a category, an amount, a city and a short summary written by a reviewer.
  2. Step 2: Fund a need

Choose an amount. In this development build payments are sandbox only — no real money moves.
  3. Step 3: See it fulfilled

Track whether a voucher was issued and used. You never see who received it.

If you run a business

  1. Step 1: Register your business

Create an account as a business owner or employee and add your business.
  2. Step 2: Report specific behaviour

Describe what happened, not who you think someone is. Reports are not sent to police automatically.
  3. Step 3: Ask for outreach

Request that a local outreach team check in with someone who may need support.

If you are a shelter, agency or counsellor

  1. Step 1: Register your organization

Organizations are verified before staff tools are turned on.
  2. Step 2: Invite your team

Staff join with a code and are given only the permissions their role needs. People in sensitive roles are prompted to turn on two-step verification.
  3. Step 3: Support people with consent

Review safety reports for your shelters, approve assistance, and offer voluntary programs.

What Hope for All Care does not do

  • It does not dispatch emergency help. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911.
  • It does not show live bed availability. Availability is shown as last reported by a shelter, with the time and source.
  • It does not track anyone’s location.
  • It does not rate or rank people or shelters.
